INAUGURATION OF THE ARBITRATION CLUB

On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, the Arbitration Club was inaugurated at the Aix-en-Provence Law Faculty, in the presence of teacher-researchers, doctoral students, lawyers and many students.
For the occasion, the Faculty was well represented, with Mrs. Isabelle Arnaud-Grossi, co-director of the Institute of Business Law, and Mrs. Isabelle Barrière-Brousse, Professor at the Laboratory of Private Law and Criminal Sciences. Dean Jacques Mestre, President of the French Association of Doctors of Law, also honored us with his presence.
During the discussion, the dynamism of arbitration law was first recalled, an instrument that has been at the service of business relations for a long time now. Arbitration is at the crossroads of several subjects. Dean Jacques Mestre then insisted on the low representation of young people in arbitration tribunals and gave us avenues of work that will keep us busy for a long time.
The Arbitration Club also recalled its student dimension, its presence on campus and its availability for students seeking insight into the subject and their professional career.
True to its academic nature, it is already planning several conferences, the programme of which is detailed on the website.
The entire team warmly thanks the people who honored us with their presence and their help, as well as those who could not join us. Thanks also to our research laboratory, the Center for Economic Law. Their support is a key to the success of this project.
